Gillian and Martin Wray are delighted to offer for rent, two delightful modern apartments, situated in the village of Chinaillon, close to le Grand Bornand in the Haute Savoie region of France. Both apartments enjoy stunning mountain views and are well placed in quiet, but convenient locations. They are well appointed, with the owners having taken great care to ensure that visitors experience a high level of comfort during their stay. Both apartments have private, locked garages - ideal for cars and bicycles!

The village of Le Chinaillon is located at 1300m, with some excellent ski runs. In the winter it is a busy ski resort, whilst in summer it offers a wonderful base from which to explore the area. The village has a range of shops which include a fantastic butchers, bakery / patisserie, supermarket, hairdresser, pharmacy and sports shops. There is also a wide range of restaurants, many of which offer local specialties such as tartiflette and fondue.

There are many typical Savoyard chalets in the area, in particular the old part of the village of Chinaillon has beautiful traditional buildings. Even modern buildings, such as Les Pistes de Soleil have to be constructed so as to preserve the special character of the area.

Le Grand Bornand - Market		Winter Wonderland

300m below Chinaillon is le Grand Bornand, a delightful, unspoilt hidden gem in the Haute Savoie. With a strong community base it offers a wider range of shops and facilities, with plenty going on all year round. It has a weekly market, held on Wednesday mornings, where the stallholders are only to keen to let you sample their produce. The area is famed for its Reblochon cheese, which is produced locally and sold from farms and in the markets. Le Grand Bornand has an ice skating rink, outdoor swimming pool, cinema, restaurants and cafes. Best of all are the stunning Aravis Mountains which offer endless breathtaking views.

Once you have experienced the magic of this area you will want to return again and again.
